Denco Fluid Systems Signs the Armed Forces Covenant

Denco Fluid Systems Signs the Armed Forces Covenant! This national pledge ensures that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, along with their families, are treated fairly and with respect.

This commitment reflects our recognition of the valuable skills and experience the Armed Forces community brings to the workplace. It also reinforces our ongoing support for current and former service personnel, reservists, and their families. This connection is especially meaningful in a region with a strong military presence.

A Personal Commitment to Service

This initiative is of particular importance to our Managing Director, Tony, who served as an RAF Engineering Officer from 2001 to 2007. More recently, he has continued to support the Armed Forces community as an Air Cadet Reserve Officer, teaching leadership and other vital skills to Combined Cadet Force (CCF) cadets since 2021. His experience brings personal insight to our pledge and helps shape our approach to supporting veterans within the workplace.

Supporting Veterans Through Meaningful Work

As the business continues to develop, signing the Covenant gives us a further opportunity to engage directly with service leavers and veterans, particularly those with experience in naval or marine environments.

Many of the systems we design and manufacture at Denco, including lubrication and cooling packages and advanced filtration solutions, are installed aboard maritime vessels. These systems are often vital to performance, but their operation may not be fully visible to those serving on board. Through roles in engineering, assembly, or technical support, veterans have the opportunity to gain a new perspective on this specialist equipment in a professional environment that remains familiar.

This connection between service life and civilian employment allows veterans to transition into a new career while building on their existing knowledge and experience.

A Broader Commitment

By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, Denco joins a network of employers across the UK who are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community. It also enables us to engage with the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, which highlights organisations that provide tangible support through inclusive recruitment, internal policies, and advocacy.

This step reflects our wider responsibility as a business. As we mark our 80th year, we are actively looking at new ways to support people, grow skills, and invest in the future of our workforce.

Looking Ahead

We will continue to identify practical and meaningful ways to support those who have served. This includes recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing career development. We welcome enquiries from any veterans or service leavers interested in finding out more about working with us.

We are proud to formalise this commitment and look forward to the opportunities it creates.
