Denco Secures Funding to Boost Productivity and Cut Carbon

We’re pleased to announce that Denco Fluid Systems has been awarded £48,600 through the Herefordshire Council Business Enterprise Fund, part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund grant (UKSPF).

This grant is designed to help businesses adopt new technologies and processes that support growth, improve efficiency, and deliver meaningful environmental benefits. At Denco, that’s exactly what we’re about — so we’re putting the funding to work straight away.

Investing in Smarter, Cleaner Operations

We’ll be using the grant to invest in two major pieces of equipment:

CNC Plasma Cutting Table
This will bring advanced cutting capability in-house, allowing us to reduce outsourcing, cut down on transport, and minimise material waste. It gives us more control, greater efficiency, and helps us reduce our environmental footprint.

Workshop Extraction & Filtration Upgrade
We’re also upgrading our extraction and filtration system to improve air quality across our workshop. It’s a win-win — better for our team, and better for energy efficiency too.

What It Means for Denco — and the Planet

These upgrades are more than just equipment — they’re part of our continued focus on doing things smarter and more sustainably. Here’s what we expect to achieve:

  • Improved in-house cutting processes using new technology
  • Support for business growth and resilience
  • ~16 tonnes of CO₂ saved per year
  • Over 3,000 kg of steel waste avoided annually through more efficient cutting

We’re proud to be investing in our people, our processes, and the planet — and grateful to Herefordshire Council and the UKSPF for supporting that journey.
