Hellan Strainer Acquires Two New Companies
A Strategic Step Forward
With the integration of Ironbound Castings, a Newark-based specialist in large-component bronze castings and high-tolerance machining, the Group reinforces its commitment to securing the supply of critical components for national defence and beyond. Alongside Ironbound, American Denco Manufacturing USA, based in Connecticut, enhances our capability in engineered skid systems and power-related infrastructure.
As Philip H. Haynes, Group President of Hellan, shared: “We are now truly a one-stop shop for critical components and systems, with an unwavering focus on service, quality, and delivery.” This evolution aligns with our goal at Denco Fluid Systems to deliver greater value, resilience, and technical capability to our customers across the UK and beyond.
A Shared Commitment to Excellence
Both companies bring decades of heritage, innovation, and a highly skilled workforce into the Hellan family. They will continue operating from their existing sites with their current teams, ensuring continuity while benefiting from the collective strength of the wider Group.
Doug Reichard, President of Federal Bronze, who remains onboard with Ironbound Castings, remarked:
“This acquisition provides a much-needed backstop to our workforce, processes and quality systems. I feel reassured passing the business to the next generation. Ironbound Castings is set to carry on a legacy that’s played a pivotal role in national defence for over 80 years.”
A Brilliant Milestone for the Group
As shared in a recent social media update by Patrick Wadden, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Hellan Group:
“Growth matters, but it’s the people behind it who truly make it meaningful. We’re proud to bring these talented teams into the Hellan family and look forward to building great things together.”
At Denco Fluid Systems, we’re excited to be part of a group that continues to grow in the right direction, with purpose, integrity, and an unrelenting focus on customer value.
