As a leading provider of fluid strainers, the Hellan Europe division of Denco Fluid Systems can supply a complete range of products ranging from simple cone strainers though to fully automatic online cleaning strainers. Sizes range from 1.5” (DN 40) up to 36” (DN900) with pressure ratings up to 50 Bar. They can be supplied in a range of metallic options suitable for most process fluids including sea water.
Hellan strainers are ISO9001 certified, meet all Navy Mil-Spec requirements, are approved by the American Bureau of Shipping and Lloyd’s Register, are listed by Underwriters Laboratories and designed in accordance with API, ASME, and PED.

Online Cleanable/ Automatic Strainers
The Hellan online cleanable range are used to remove all types of solids (such as zebra mussels, sand, grit, organic and metallic debris from most process fluids. They are extremely popular due to their reliability, efficient operation and cost savings. Instead of trapping solids like conventional basket strainers (which necessitate frequent basket removal for cleaning), the Hellan Strainer discharges solids removed from the dirty fluid without disassembly. This reduces operational and maintenance costs and permits continuous flow of fluids, even during the cleaning cycle. As the strainers do not have to be isolated from the flow for cleaning there are considerable size and weight savings compared to traditional duplex strainers.
Operators do not come into contact with the fluid or the solids removed, nor do they have to lift and clean heavy baskets. This provides a safer working environment for all staff.
These strainers are available in either manual or fully automatic operation. Manual strainers can easily be automated at a later stage and this can be achieved with the strainers in situ.
Hellan Fabricated Strainers
Hellan Strainers are suitable for use in Industrial, Commercial, Marine and HVAC applications. Standard sizes are available but they can also Fabricated be made to order with bespoke face-to-face dimensions for new and existing applications.
